This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Working with a group of eighteen Head Start children is my life's work.
I work with children that are from different ethnic backgrounds (German, Guam, Spanish, Panamanian) and learning abilities from typical learning to autistic.
We see these kids on a day to day basis coming from at-risk environments and homelessness. Our children deserve consistency, love, support and a chance to learn in a caring and loving environment. Each day we gear these kids to become productive leaders. We engage their thoughts in reading and asking various questions to promote those higher thinking skills. Through reading, song, and hands-on experiences, we give these kids what they need and deserve. Our diversity is what makes us strong and unique.
My Project
Using these materials at school helps our children see what is new that is going on in our big world. During circle time, the children will be able to see it on a larger scale with the poster size materials and also virtually when they are at home as well.
When we go virtual in the afternoon, the children will be able to see along with their parent or guardian what is going on from a child's point of view.
With the subscription, children will be able to do supplemental activities that go along with the literature that is being presented to them in the classroom and virtually at home.
