We have a diverse group of students at our school. Our school provides a safe and caring environment for the students with a lot of community support. We are one of the top performing schools in our county. Teachers work hard to build strong relationships with students. These relationships help keep students engaged and performing well.
Students know that they will be challenged in my classroom, and I strive every day to make it that way.
Students come into my class ready to learn. We work hard and have fun!
My Project
Each day we read to ourselves or to a friend. We are constantly reading, comparing, and discussing fiction and nonfiction text. Having these books in our classroom library will give students a larger variety of text to choose from.
These leveled books will help them stay engaged and wanting to read.
They will help students grow as readers and better understand nonfiction text and nonfiction text features. These books can also allow students to learn about new topics. This might spark interest in something new for some students. I hope to use these materials to help each student strive to be lifelong readers.
