My Students

My classroom consists of 15 AMAZING students from diverse backgrounds. For many of my students, this is their first school experience and the first step toward a successful learning venture. They enjoy full body movement and exciting games that help build on their academic, physical, mental, and social emotional development during the early stages of learning and growth.

My students love hands-on learning and enjoy getting messy while they explore and learn new skills and techniques.

My students would love to build on their learning through the use of a sensory table that allows them to have fun while working together and building on the necessary skills to grow and learn

My Project

My students will use water to explore science, math, and literacy. Students will explore different techniques for making water flow and test their techniques through water races. They will use predictions to determine how to get water to flow slowly or fast and test those predictions through hands-on experiments. Students will build on math skills through determining the weight of different items and how weight also affects speed. As the students learn to use predictions, their predictions will be recorded to display how letters make words and words make sentences while building on literacy skills. This will become an exciting area in our classroom while building on conversational, exploration, and collaboration skills.
