My Students

I teach kindergarten in a Title I school. This means that over 80% of our students come from low-income families. All students at our school receive free breakfast and lunch. Most of my students have never been in a school setting before.

I believe that all of my students are capable of learning and growing.

I want to provide them a warm and welcoming environment to learn and grow. I love how young students are always eager to participate in their learning process.

My Project

Math needs to be hands-on and engaging to the students. These math materials will help my students with special learning needs by providing them multiple opportunities to explore basic math facts in a multiple of fun and engaging ways.

I will be able to use these math manipulatives on a daily basis and in a multitude of ways.

Students will have the opportunity to use these materials during morning free choice time, independent work station time, and also during small group instruction. I want to make sure that math is fun and engaging for all of my students while also helping increase their basic math facts!
