This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Please help us by providing our students with a copy of the powerful graphic novel The Circuit by Francisco Jiménez. This book tells the poignant and inspiring story of a young boy navigating the challenges of migrant life, offering a unique perspective on perseverance, family, and the pursuit of a better life. As part of our classroom curriculum, we believe The Circuit will not only engage our students but also help them develop a deeper understanding of the immigrant experience, which is both timely and crucial for fostering empathy and cultural awareness.
Your support will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students, helping them build literacy skills while also gaining valuable insights into the struggles and triumphs of individuals facing adversity.
Unfortunately, due to limited classroom resources, we are unable to provide every student with a personal copy of this impactful graphic novel. With your generous donation, we can supply enough copies for every student to have one, ensuring that they all have the opportunity to read and discuss this important story. A graphic novel format will also engage students who may find traditional texts challenging and help bring the story's emotional depth to life in a way that resonates deeply with them.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will bring us one step closer to making The Circuit accessible to every student. We are deeply grateful for your consideration and support in making this vital resource available to our class.
