My students need a variety of hands-on materials for our classroom: noun, rhyming and opposite card games. We are in need of technology for our group time like Tiggly math and language Osmos and microscopes.
This project expired on January 13, 2017.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
The special need students in my class learn best when the lesson are hands on. With the Osmos and Tiggly systems we can change the way they learn their spelling words and math facts. The Junior learning Touchtronic will provide hands on fun learning lessons for the students in our class.
We currently have 5 girls and 5 boys that enjoy learning and using current technology just like other 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
My students struggle with their academics and often face many challenges to fit in.
Our special needs self contained class of 10 has a range of abilities. The class of 6th, 7th and 8th graders learn many different ways. Their learning levels range from early kindergarten level to 4th grade. The students in our class enjoy using technology, but at times it can be challenging to find an app or device that works at everyone's level. With the use of Osmos and Language Arts games for our current technology and groups we would be able to work at many different levels at the same time. “We need to embrace technology to make learning more engaging. Because when students are engaged and they are interested, that's where learning takes place.”- Unknown
I want for my students to leave our classroom with valued lessons taught and fun memories about being at school.
