My Project
We are about to explore "A Happy Death", by Albert Camus, an introspective and thought-provoking novel that explores themes of life, death, and the search for meaning. The protagonist, Meursault, embarks on a journey of self-reflection and acceptance, and this book will serve as a springboard for my students to explore how they understand life and death in their own lives.
To enrich this experience, I am requesting a classroom set and art supplies for a hands-on, creative project.
After reading and discussing the novel, students will create an artistic representation of the book’s themes, whether through painting, sculpture, mixed-media, or digital design. This project will allow students to express their personal reflections and connections to the book in a way that encourages deeper understanding and self-expression.
This project will provide each student with a copy of "A Happy Death" to fully engage with the text. It will foster critical thinking and philosophical discussion on life, death, and meaning. It will give students an opportunity to reflect creatively through art.
Your support will enable us to dive into philosophy and literature in a meaningful and creative way, ensuring that students don’t just read the book, but truly experience it.
