it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m stepping into a new adventure—teaching 4th grade at my Title I school in a lower-income area of Las Vegas—and I want to create a classroom that feels just as exciting and inspiring for my students as the lessons we’ll be diving into!
Many of my students face challenges outside of school, and I want our classroom to be a place where they feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.
With your help, I’m hoping to give the space a much-needed refresh with age-appropriate, engaging, and cozy touches designed to support learning and comfort.
I’m planning a National Parks theme to bring the beauty of nature indoors—complete with motivational posters inspired by the great outdoors. I’d love to add a large, soft rug to gather on for class discussions, colorful book bins to organize our growing classroom library, a rolling standing desk, and comfy cushions to create cozy reading nooks around the room. These items will help me build a space that feels welcoming, organized, and full of wonder.
