The items I have picked out are to help brighten up and make my classroom more “homey”. I want my students to feel that the classroom is a safe and fun learning environment. The seating and carpet will create an inviting area for students to read. Unfortunately, many of my students do not live in very inviting areas so providing a fun, safe and loving classroom for them is my key concern. I feel that when they feel comfortable in a setting they thrive and become excited to learn. Lastly, by providing a “living room” area it opens up a section of the room for students to socialize and work on how to converse with classmates.
