Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My high school students bound into the classroom full of curiosity and craving to learn. Our population of 1400 students is diverse with minority groups comprising 96% of our school. Though our school is underfunded and has its challenges, my students have expressed a lot of gratitude for what they are learning in my classes. I am motivated to give them the best possible education so that their learning is memorable and joyful.

The gratitude of my students makes me want to work harder to give them the best education possible.

In order to prepare them for the age they live in, I do my best to expose them to current practices in our modern world. To do this, I need your help to provide materials for hands-on biology and marine science experiments.

My Project

My students embrace learning about the natural world. They are incredibly curious and always ask a lot of questions when they experience living things. These materials will provide support for our classroom animals and enable students to investigate a variety of plant species.

From daffodils to moss balls and hornwort- these materials will show students how a variety of plants are adapted to their environment.

Students will discover the unique features of these variety of plants and use reason to figure out why and how plants have specialized in the ways that they have. Your support will help my students understand more about the natural world.
