What can I say about my students? They are the brightest and best young minds in our entire state! My students have big dreams about their futures which includes college and giving back to their community.
My students LOVE to learn!
My students connect to remote learning through technology which helps them better understand history. In fact it was when I used technology in our lessons this past spring that they related more to the themes and content as they prepared to take their AP exams.
My Project
The start of any school year is the most important time of the year. I want to start my students' year off right by creating interactive and engaging lessons that have high impact. This year as with many schools around the nation, my students will be learning at home and I know that brings challenges. Remote learning, at least at this time, is the best way to help keep my students, who I love, safe. It is my responsibility to provide them with the same quality education that I would if we were face to face. I am requesting these digital tools to help me with this process.
The items I am requesting will enable me to create online lessons with the diversity of my students in mind.
My students will be able to learn the content as well as practice Advanced Placement skills such as writing and analyzing historical documents and readings. The items I am requesting will also give my students the opportunity to explore the history of our nation by going beyond the textbook to investigate the many ethnic groups that are an integral part of the fabric of our country. To better relate to history, I want my students to see their backgrounds reflected in the pictures and texts we utilize in class.
