My Project

There is a theme for each unit of study, and the novels I’ve selected would help students develop a deeper understanding of those themes.

“Research has shown that when it comes to reading unfamiliar texts, or reading to learn, the more background knowledge they have on a subject, the easier it will be for them to anchor new information to concepts they already have some knowledge of.”

When students understand the content, they thrive. I want to encourage a love for reading and help students develop reading strategies that will continue to aid them beyond this school year.
