Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
A typical day in my classroom involves lots of positive, active energy flowing between my students and myself. Despite our long subject blocks, I try to get my students up and moving as much as possible throughout the day to encourage active participation and learning through different hands-on manipulatives and learning tools.
My school is located in a rural community.
We have a very diverse population with twenty different languages in our school district. We have a high percentage of low socioeconomic students, but that doesn't stop them from being eager to learn. Our kids are truly awesome!
My Project
In our classroom we have 1:1 iPads; through this learning tool we are able to explore different activities using our individual iPads such as educational videos, math & phonics activities, reading a good book and even creating projects.
Having access to headphones are so crucial because it allows us to not interrupt the learning of those around us through our own learning experience.
We go through so many headphones throughout our school year just from every day wear-and-tear on them. These headphones I have chosen have a 1-year warranty on them and they are also made to easily connect multiple headphones to one device (goodbye splitters!).
