Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Immerse our students in the wonders of ancient civilizations through engaging STEM projects! By combining history with hands-on activities, our goal is to ignite curiosity and foster a deeper understanding of ancient cultures.
Students will delve into the mysteries of the past as they construct pyramids, create mummies in canopic jars, explore ancient irrigation methods, and craft personalized cartouches.
We are requesting various building materials, like popsicle sticks, markers, clay, etc.
Project Goals:
1. Interactive Learning: Provide students with interactive experiences to enhance their understanding of ancient civilizations, promoting active engagement and retention of knowledge.
2. Cross-Disciplinary Skills: Through STEM projects, students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity skills while making connections between history, science, and engineering.
3. Cultural Appreciation: Encourage students to appreciate and respect diverse cultures by exploring the achievements and innovations of ancient civilizations.
4. Hands-On Exploration: Empower students to take ownership of their learning by participating in hands-on activities that bring history to life in a meaningful way.
