My Students
I love that I get to teach 9th graders and have brand new excited faces each year. I teach in a program that pulls kids from other schools within the district providing a melting pot of culture within my classroom.
They are young and eager to learn while possessing an incredible amount of creativity and problem solving skills!
My Project
I teach 9th grade Pre-Engineering at my school. We explore the foundations of all engineering related concepts. We already implement a large Computer Aided Drafting And Design unit, which allows students to explore digital modeling on a variety of programs. We then utilize additive manufacturing or 3D printing to bring these custom designs to life.
We currently have a standard FDM style plastic printer which is great.
However, in order to completely understand the different types of additive manufacturing and how they may use these in their future careers it is important to expose students to as many types of 3D printing as possible! That is why I am requesting everything required to begin SLA resin printing with my students.
