Research Tools Desperately Needed! Have you ever gone to the library to do research and find that the only copy of the book you need is being used? That is exactly what happens to my children every year.

My school is a school in a military community and with a diverse population. I would like to request 8 copies of The Encyclopedia of North Carolina.

Each year my 4th graders and I do a project all about a state. Our school library has two copies of this book, but you can imagine what it is like when 27 children all want to use the two books for research. Not to mention we have seven very full 4th grade classrooms. The project is incredible, and the students learn all about a state. In addition, they learn valuable research skills, creating a bibliography, and the how to write and put what you have read in your own words.

The addition of these books to my classroom library would mean that my children would have more materials to work from, and more of them would have access to them. Please consider helping my students learn about a beautiful state and create a wonderful North Carolina Project.
