My Project

I am always trying to find new exciting and accessible ways to engage my exceptional learners. This project is a great way for students to experience sculptural art with a finished product they will be proud of! Using copper as a mold, students will fill the inside with window paint (it takes a lot)! After drying for 24 hours, they are then able to mold their piece into a unique 3D shape. The window paint give it a glass effect, making it a great project to tie into artist Dale Chihuly. It is such an awesome project that I would love my students to be able to experience. I teach adaptive art, pre-k-5th grade. This lesson is unique in the fact it is appropriate for all ages in levels. Please help me make this a reality!
