My Students
Our school is located in rural Illinois. There are many students who haven't ventured outside our area. I would love for them to be able to "see" the world! They are so inquisitive and excited to learn!
I've taught for ten years, however, this will be my first year teaching first grade and want to give them the best possible resources.
My students are full of questions and curiosity! They love nature and learning about famous people and their accomplishments!
My Project
Students will be exposed to animals, people, places, etc. that they would not otherwise get to "see" or experience.
The students are inquisitive and this magazine will give them a chance to pique their interest in science and social studies areas!
These magazines will expand the students' exposure to a variety of subjects that may not be found in our core curriculum but will enhance the curriculum we use.
We will use this each week to improve our reading and understanding of informational texts. The graphs, maps, pictures and more will expand their knowledge and encourage them to picture our world outside of our rural area.
