Help me give my students the opportunity to explore and create through open ended STEM activities. This will teach them problem solving skills and invoke a curiosity and love for learning.
I love seeing the excitement and curiosity in my students’ eyes as they create and begin to problem solve. Adding STEM materials will provide the enrichment they need to expand their knowledge, enhance problem solving skills and flex imaginative creativity. The Kaplan STEM kits I have chosen are related to the interests of my students, include real life materials that will keep them engaged, and will encourage teamwork. The Marble Run will entice them to build on prior learning as it offers more opportunities than our current “Fisher Price” Ball Track. Social emotional skills will improve as students engage in ongoing cooperative learning.
