My Students
Our program currently hosts 50 preschoolers, who attend one of four half day sessions. The students are from a variety of backgrounds, making our classroom space diverse and rich with culture.
Students enjoy learning and come to school each day curious about the challenges they will explore.
Through a variety of methods: including multi-sensory approaches and hands on learning, our students engage in each activity with excitement.
Sticking with our district theme of "Imagine if every child..." I hope to provide my students with the best year possible.
My Project
Our current curriculum uses many activities and strategies that have served previous students well. However, some areas are lacking where teachers spend hours searching, gathering, and/or purchasing materials continue to be Science and Math related. By securing items such as the Builder Bot, Code-a-Pillar, STEM Kits, and the WonderLab, teachers will be able to create new experiences for the class.
Items purchased through this opportunity would be used to create an “Exploration Station” where challenges can be issued and creativity for solving those challenges can be explored.
I hope to encourage and excited our youngest students through the use of hands on, multi-sensory approaches in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math
