Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach an incredible group of 5th-7th grade scholars.
I am a self-contained special education teacher and I am extremely fortunate, as I am able to "loop," with my same class as last year.
I have 12 children in my class, and they all have a LOVE of science, experiments and building.
STEM-based education teaches children more than science and mathematics concepts. The focus on hands-on learning with real-world applications helps develop a variety of skill sets, including creativity and 21st-century skills.
These science experiment kits will allow not only "team building," amongst my awesome students, it will allow my scholars to expand their knowledge in the area of STEM to get creative and design, explore, and turn into "scientists."
