This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My list includes materials for various creativity-building projects, such as printmaking, still-lifes, 3D mixed-media pieces, sculpting, glass art, just to name a few. These projects are designed to engage students who are interested in learning new techniques, and inspire other students to look at the potential of making art in new ways.
My goal for this project is for my students to learn more than just the fundamentals and to be able to experiment with a wide range of art mediums.
My goal is to introduce art history and artists that they perhaps have never heard of before. By doing so, I would be able to help present more diverse artists in history to my classes and inspire students with their unique art styles and influences. I want my students to experiment with art and learn about those who have done the same—so they too can see themselves as experimental and evolving artists in the making.
My students love to share with me the different art projects they would love to do in the art room. Hearing their ideas and willingness to learn, I want to be better equipped to cultivate that enthusiasm and curiosity. I hope through your generous donations I would be better suited to give my students more than the traditional foundation of an art education, to make them see, and more importantly, make art that is just as unique and impactful as they are.
