My Project

STEM courses offer an innovative approach to learning in which students use problem solving skills to tackle hands-on learning activities. Four years ago we started our STEM program by offering the elective to 7th and 8th graders. Each year over 125 students sign up for 75 STEM slots. This fall we added four Intro to STEM semester courses for 6th graders and an Advanced STEM year long course for 8th graders, in addition to the three 7th and 8th grade STEM courses. We are excited to have 375 middle school students enrolled in STEM. Our STEM courses improve critical thinking skills and propel students toward a successful career in the STEM fields. The best way to develop these skills is through hands-on projects. Unfortunately, STEM supplies are not always the usual school supplies and the money to purchase additional consumable supplies is not always available; however, with your help we will continue to offer STEM at no cost to students and provide them with opportunities to explore the Engineering Design Process. I am asking for a variety of consumable supplies and construction materials, such as Multi Angle Miter Shear Cutter Hand Tools and super glue, so that we have all the materials needed to ensure that all students have options as they design, build, and create.

Our students are innovators, inventors, makers, engineers and so much more.

Being able to secure these supplies will ensure that we have the needed resources to provide our students with the opportunities to become the innovative minds of tomorrow.
