My Students
Did you ever see a picture of a faraway place when you were young and be amazed by its beauty and splendor? Help my students open their eyes to the world around them with TIME For Kids magazine.
My third grade students are eager and bright children who look forward to coming to school everyday.
They have smiles on their faces as they walk in every morning, curious to find out what the day will bring. They get excited when new challenges are presented to them and they enjoy project based learning. The students are bright eyed and inquisitive and come to school with a love for learning. They genuinely love being at school and enjoy all the new experiences they receive.
My Project
TIME For Kids is a magazine filled with non-fiction articles and pictures that brings the world to life! My students would be exposed to expository writing about real life and current events. Imagine all the rich discussions that will pour forth as students scour the pages of their own magazines each month that they will be able to keep. With the subscriptions, I would be able to receive access to extra resources such as quizzes, worksheets, and more online.
TIME For Kids magazines would help open the eyes of my students to the world around them.
There is very little rich text in our current curriculum that is so up to date and informative to help prepare them to be worldly thinkers. This resource could change the way my students view their life and allow me to teach them to be better readers.
