My students attend one of the largest elementary schools in Virginia Beach, with well over 500 students K-5. Our team of 175 fourth grade students is spread between 7 different homeroom teachers. Our backgrounds are as diverse as our learning styles. We have about 42 percent of our population eligible for reduced or free lunch.
Our students want to be able to see beyond our classroom walls and experience more of our world.
There are a limited number of devices in the school that allow students to experience virtual or augmented reality. We'd like to change that!
Our students would love the opportunity to see the world beyond our classroom walls. With ever changing technology, there are more and more opportunities to go beyond the classroom. Students can see the world up close and personal and interact as never before.
Using augmented and virtual reality apps will enhance our learning and allow us to explore the world and beyond.
Students will be able to use these tablets to look out into the solar system, explore underwater ecosystems and get close and personal to animals they have only seen in 2D pictures. The possiblitities are endless through the use of this amazing technology.
