My students need instruments for creating and performing music to enrich their lives.

My Students

Our students are from a small community in which few will have the opportunity to experience live performance at an early age. Most students will join an athletic team but not consider music as an enjoyable group activity simply because they have not had enough exposure to the performing arts.

Our students are eager to learn and love music, but have not experiences the thrill of performing on a musical instrument.

I am in hopes of introducing them to an experience that will create a life long love of music!

My Project

Our students love to sing and dance. They are very musical and loving children. We have some rhythm band instruments, but at present we do not have melodic instruments for the children to play. I would have 5 sets of beginning hand bells (8 bells in a set) so that the students can accompany pieces by performing the chords.

With these resources, our children will be able to performing on a melodic instrument for the first time.

They will make music as a group. This will foster their love of the performing arts and in turn create life long supporters of the arts.

I intend to use these with all our students and over multiple years. They will use them in class and during performances. Many students will benefit from these musical supplies.
