Experiencing America Through Virtual Reality!

Help me give my students experiences beyond the classroom through VR. Using a VR headset, students can visit Washington D.C., The 9/11 Memorial, and many other places that will help make them better, more informed citizens. Thank you!

My Project

More than ever, young adults need to be aware and understanding of the different places and cultures that make America so unique. They also need to appreciate our own special history that has made us the great country that we are today. This is best done through personal experience like field trips. However, my students do not have the means to afford the kind of experiences that could help make them more informed and understanding American citizens. There is only so much I can do in my classroom; I really want my students to EXPERIENCE life outside of our small town of Summerville, SC. If funded, the VR equipment will allow my students to virtually go to places the otherwise would not, and learn about events in US History with their own eyes. This will let United States History come alive for students!!
