I work at a Title I Charter School and my students come from many different backgrounds and situations. As a teacher, I want to give them an education where they are able to soar, and can express who they are while in the classroom.
These students are truly gifted and have so much potential to grow and learn.
To give them every opportunity to do so, I am requesting in this project furniture supplies for my classroom. I want to give my students an opportunity to explore and learn in comfortable seating while in the classroom and have a chance to grow in different types of seating arrangements.
My Project
These tools are to help in expanding seating and learning within the classroom. I would love to have a rug in my classroom to have class group discussion in a smaller setting of the room where we can move my students around for different activities so that they aren't just sitting at their regular seats only.
I would love to use bean bag seats for our library corner area for students to have a comfortable seat while expanding their reading as they learn.
I also want to add to our use of manipulatives in the classroom for teaching fractions and learning those concepts that will stick for the rest of their math learning to come in future grades.
