Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work with an amazing diversity of students! They come from all backgrounds and learning styles and each with their own unique story. I am so excited about continuing learning through Distance Education and our online Summer Camp!
I am blessed to get to wake up daily and come to school to work with this amazing group of children and watch them explore new venues of learning through clubs, organizations and an extended Gifted and Talented Program!
It is amazing to watch children as they explore new learning and experiences they are not normally afforded the opportunity to see and my greatest joy is watching their light bulb moments.
I provide the power, they generate the light!
My Project
Distance Education has opened a wide variety of doors in learning. It has helped create relationships and connections through Social Media outlets, along with new ways of staying connected when traditional parent/teacher conferences are not possible. It has proven to parents and teachers alike, that Media Apps, Social Media and Networking, can help support both the learning in classrooms, as well as the relationships with school and community. It has pushed parents, teachers, and children to prove learning and share ideas in creative ways that allow all parties to truly shine!
Having this device would allow me to help stay connected beyond just this period of distance learning and beyond the confinement of traditional classroom walls.
It has now created limitless avenues that others previously stayed away from!
I currently used many media formats for learning and have done with much effort for some time. Having this device will save countless hours of work from slow devices that just were not made to handle the mass media virtual learning that could be so greatly optimized with the appropriate tools!
