My Project
Students are becoming more reliant on technology these days that they are not really reading a book, but having it read to them. I want to spark my students' interest in reading or rekindle the interest as a whole. In order to do so, a classroom library will aid them by having books close to them instead of trying to get to a media center during the day. By having a robust library, my students could explore new books that help with their social and emotional learning as well as the books that grab their attention.
Struggling readers are usually discovered after third grade, when reading is required more in each subject.
I would like to get my students to read more books so that I can assist those that are struggling and get any assistance that they may need. With having the library, more students will be able to read and improve their skills.
