My Project

Dear Donors,

At Rosa Parks, many of our students face challenges that can be difficult to express through words alone.

That’s why sand tray therapy is such a powerful tool in our social work program. Through the use of miniature figures and sand, students can express emotions, process trauma, and engage in healing play in a safe, supportive environment.

Currently, we have one large sand tray, but to better serve our students, we need mini sand trays and additional figures that can be easily transported across different classrooms and spaces. Mobile sand trays will allow us to bring this therapeutic intervention directly to students, meeting them where they feel most comfortable.

With your support, this project will:

- Expand access to sand tray therapy by providing portable trays for use in multiple settings.

- Help students process emotions and trauma through hands-on, expressive play.

- Create a safe and engaging space for children to explore their feelings in a non-verbal way.

Your generosity will help ensure that more students have access to this essential therapeutic tool.
