This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These highlighter/marker sets will enhance my student's learning, help support their current writing skills, and add to my teaching resources. The highlighters will help students' understanding of the Expanding Expressive Language Tool (EET) and writing fluency by color coding sections of EET. Color coding allows the students to break down their writing topic to formulate sentences and paragraphs. My writing groups will participate in class discussions and create writing tasks expected of a 5th and 6th-grade student. I am thankful for the opportunity to break down the EET resource using colors associated with the program. These highlighters have been chosen with my students in mind to help them close their fundamental writing skills gap by integrating groups of colors.
