Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love creativity. They thrive on using different materials to showcase the details in their work. By mixing materials they have learned how to play with color and find what they love about their art work. Help me replenish their most loved art materials to continue their journey into the love of art.

My students love using acrylic art pens.

They use these constantly to add detail to their work. It is this year's prized material. My students enjoy using canvases. They gleam with pride using canvases to showcase their work. They feel like "real artists" when they are given a new canvas. I want my students to practice using different mediums such as clay. This material will help them experiment with tactile materials and create by building on the skills we have learned this year. I am hoping to create "artifacts" connected to our reading and social studies units. Help our class continue our love our art.
