I have 18 first graders who walk into my room every day with a smile on their face and greet me at the door with a smile and a “Good morning, Mrs. W. !”
My students come through my door every day excited to learn!
They are full of energy and have such bright minds which are ready to absorb the information that is being given to them.
These students love being able to sit around the room in fun seating to read their favorite books.
I am from a Title I school where 80% of my students are receiving free lunch each day.
My Project
These items will be used in order to give the teacher resources in order to help teach interactive engaging lessons to the students. Pete the Cat book will add to their collection of Pete the Cat books that they already love to read. The stools will give them a fun place to sit in during small group instructions and make them eager to come and learn at the small group table. The owl matching will help them practice their vowels sounds in a fun interactive way with their groups during our center rotations. Students will be able to be engaged in their learning using these new resources for reading.
