My Students
Our school is an urban school that serves a diverse group of students. We believe in being inclusive inquirers who take risks in a globally mindful environment.
The students in our building are empowered to take control of their own learning and are encouraged to understand who they are, what they think and feel, and what they need in order to be successful.
Our students come to us with varied strengths and struggles, and it is our responsibility to ensure their success.
My Project
The subscription to Flocabulary will enhance the education of my students because the information is being presented in another way. Instead of a lecture or a book, the website incorporates hip-hop and rap with lyrics that inform the future of tomorrow about what happened in the past and what is happening in the present.
Flocabulary is one of the best websites that I've found that teaches students about history from multiple perspectives.
The music is catchy, the videos are fun to watch and students truly learn while watching them!
I want to do anything and everything that I can to ensure that my students are successful. If I can reach them best by incorporating more music into my classroom then I absolutely have to try.
