Expanding Our Literary Horizons: a Call for Books

Help me give my students enriching and diverse books for the little libraries in our school.

My Project

Do you recall those nights spent eagerly turning pages, completely absorbed in the lives of characters you just had to know more about? Imagine if we could cultivate that same excitement for reading in my students!

Inspired by the passion my students have developed for independent reading, they've compiled a reading wish list.

These are books they might not have access to otherwise but are genuinely intrigued to explore, driven by our class discussions and shared interests.

My goal is to gift each student a copy of a novel from their wish list and encourage them to create digital book presentations afterward. These presentations will not only enhance their analytical skills by exploring elements like plot, characterization, theme, central idea, and irony but also provide a platform for them to share their newfound insights.

Your generous donations will enable my students to broaden their reading horizons, explore diverse titles, and improve their language arts skills. Together, we can foster a love for literature that goes beyond the classroom, enriching their lives with valuable lessons.
