My Project

One of my most important jobs is to develop a love for reading with my young learners. All children grow through BOOKS! By being read to, looking at the pictures, and reading words, children learn about the amazing world around them.

We use books EVERYDAY!

We learn from books, we grow from books, and books help us understand the world around us. Books with characters that look like my students will help my students not only feel connected and more free to learn from the book, but feel connected to the classroom community where that book is shared and talked about with them. Helping each and every one of my students feel connected to their classroom is an essential part of my job. One way I can make this connection is through the magic of books!

My project is to provide my students with stories that believable and relatable. In this way, my young readers will have exposure to books and stories about and starring THEM! My project will also provide frames to showcase their work, bands to provide support to overactive readers, and activities for those readers who need support in their reading and writing!
