My Students
I teach a 1st-2nd grade multi-age classroom in an urban school district in Washington. Many students at our school come from low socio-economic backgrounds and need all of the resources they can get at school!
I am a third-year teacher needing some help to equip my classroom library with chapter books for my developing readers that need to continue being challenged.
I have a large group of advanced readers who need third grade level chapter books to keep them engaged!
My Project
In this project, I have requested P and Q leveled sets for my growing second grade students. The issue now has become that my library is lacking higher level books (chapter books) that are more at their interest level. I want to continue to engage these students and be able to accommodate their level and growth through much more difficult books. I would like to help support their comprehension skills and build on their reading fluency.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about this project.
I need a wider range of books due to the multi-age/grade students in my classroom. Please help me to help my 1st and 2nd grade readers to grow and be challenged!
