Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Each day, we gather a whole group for the majority of our learning. Our whiteboard is small and does not allow for the learning that we need. This much-needed easel will allow and encourage my students to practice their fine motor skills. As they practice writing and drawing on the easel they will strengthen the small muscles in their hands. The easel will also double as a magnetic board allowing students to manipulate magnetic letters to build words during our phonics lessons.

This easel will give my students regular access to a white/magnetic board to use with their classmates to help and encourage and promote early literacy skills.
