Expanding Our Food Pantry

Help me give my students warm breakfasts, snacks and weekend meals for homeless and needy kids.

My Project

Students have a hard time learning when they are cold, tired, and hungry. Our food pantry on campus provides extra food to some of our struggling students and their families to help them get through the school day and on weekends. On the occasions when we know of students living in hotels, we also provide them food as well.

Without the free food from our school, many of our students would have limited access to nutritious food until they return to school on Monday.

The food pantry needs an air fryer, toaster oven and a griddle. Many of our students suffer from food insecurities. Proper nutrition is vital in order for students to achieve academically. These equipment's would allow us to cook frozen foods and vegetables that the students could take home to help themselves and their families.

We have many families in our school that need extra support feeding themselves.

Our resource room provides extra food to students that come to school needing a snack throughout the day when families cannot provide it for them. We are hoping that the donors here can help us get started for the school year so that we can provide more well-rounded healthy options for families. I promised them I would work hard to get us our own personal air fryer, toaster oven and griddle so that we can consistently learn, inspire, and enjoy the process.
