Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Instilling a love of reading in my students has been an important goal of mine since becoming a teacher. I want to be able to provide access to engaging and high interest books for my students. Students will be able to read their books at home or at school. Our school does have some books located in our library, however, it is my hope to provide students with several more genre options and current titles to choose from.

Many of my students have requested several different genres and series they would like to see such as historical fiction, mystery, the Percy Jackson series and more.

I hope to continue to create a positive reading culture for my students and help them to become life long readers!
