Expanded Library Equals an Expanded Mind

Help me give my students a diverse library where we can read about frogs, dinosaurs, literary classics, what school is like in other places, water, celebrations around the world and how to be a leader.

My Project

We are a Leader in Me school and practice the eight habits. This is a proactive project created to meet the needs of our amazing class!

We want to expand our knowledge through independent and collaborative research and reading, so that our brains grow!

We are hoping to expand our library based on third grade topics and interests. The books that are in our collection will be resources used during our literacy module studies. The frog, water, schools around the world and literary classics will be added to our growing collection of books. We will use these books when researching and writing about each topic.

The other books, traditions around the world, different versions of classic tales, dinosaurs, and leadership books will help us to learn more about third grade topics too. Ultimately, we would like to be able to read as many books as possible about a certain topic, so we can become experts on those topics.
