My Students

My students are full of energy and charm. They love coming to school and learning new skills. While they may have some academic challenges, they all show growth and potential. I have developed a bond with this group of students for the past two years, and they truly mean the world to me. They continue to make me smile on hard days and exhibit grit and tenacity to overcome hardships in their own lives. Our school is in a low income community, and students face adversity yet they come into school with a positive attitude and want to learn.

My Project

The focus in my resource setting classroom is literacy. Students receive support in reading and writing in my classroom. I would like to give my students more access to books at their level, as many of the books in my library are printed books and/or outdated. I believe new books that are leveled would increased my students’ desire to practice their reading. Another item I would like is the flexible seating balls, as my students enjoy being active and sometimes struggle to sit in their chairs. The last item is a phonics set that would be used during center time to enhance their learning and growth in the classroom!
