My Students
We are a small public school where nearly all students come from low-income homes. At our school, we believe all students can succeed- no exceptions. My classroom has students of varying achievement levels and needs. Within my classroom with have English language learners, students with Autism, students with fine motor deficiencies, and other classifications. The students become engaged when working hands-on with any assignment.
Seeing students get excited about learning is what drives me to continue doing all that I can to support the interests of my students.
My Project
I want to support my students' excitement towards reading by providing them with books that meet their interests! My students are adjusting to a new grade and new school year and they are having a hard time finding books to read.
The book sets I am hoping to receive have been specifically requested by my students!
Many of my students are developing a love for reading. I would like this love of reading to continue to grow. To do this I would like to provide my class with fresh, new books that spark their excitement. I am also looking forward to working with my class and helping each student improve their reading levels. All the books requested will be used during readers workshop in the class and as independent reading books.
