Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love that my students like to use their imagination and make good use of our time together by learning and growing together. My students our learning to talk, make friends, learning colors, numbers and letters at a slower pace than in a general education classroom. Giving them a good head start before they go to kindergarten is important for them.

My Project

My students with Special needs have a short attention span when it comes to learning. I want to give them the best opportunities to like learning about and be excited about coming to school.

My preschoolers have gone through a lot due to the pandemic and the school closures.

Being online with preschoolers last year made it hard because they could not work on their Social Emotional skills of working together, sharing and turn taking. Students will be learning about constructing different types of homes. This will help students by giving them a variety of materials to build houses for people and animals.

Most of my students are very poor and their families cannot afford to buy their children special activities we need in order to complete our unit of study which is Buildings in our classroom.
