This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am the school's Clinical Coordinator for the Emotional Impairment strand and I serve students who are living in financially insecure households, have experienced childhood trauma, are in foster care, or have DCF involvement. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional resources to use in their development of regulating their emotions. A lot of students are working through self-regulation strategies to help them in their classrooms. These will make such a massive difference for all of our students! The variety of books has been carefully selected because they matched student behaviors and were carefully picked to cultivate conversation in group sessions. They are fun, creative, thought-provoking, conversation starters, and, most importantly, relatable for students. By supporting this project, you are supporting the creation of the Social Emotional Learning library in my therapy room.
