My Students

"Sport is a universal language that can bring people together, no matter what their origin, background, religious beliefs, or economic status." - Kofi Annan- Our classroom needs playground and P.E. equipment to help make this universal language possible.

Our school is a classified as a Title One school.

We have a high percentage of students who are at the poverty level. We are a public school located on a military base and work with many of our country's service member's children. Additionally, we are the special education magnet school for our district.

My Project

The playground and PE equipment will get a lot of use from my fourth graders. Whether down on the grass field or up on the playground blacktop, this equipment will be used to keep kids actively engaged. Regular physical activity has been proven to improve strength and endurance, helps build healthy bones and muscles, helps control weight, reduces anxiety and stress, and increases self-esteem.

I have a $100 classroom budget to buy all the supplies my class will need this year.

That budget is spent even before the school year has begun! Supplies such as paper, pencils, scissors, glue etc.. all come from that $100 budget. Your donation would allow us to have much needed PE equipment.
