This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class is a group of 18 energetic Pre-K students who love to move. This year we started a new curriculum and one of our units is Exercise.

We will be exploring what different types of exercise there are, where people exercise, and what types of equipment people use to exercise.

We would love to add some more equipment to our gross motor area to help us investigate. Having stepping stones, balance beams, and a seesaw balance board would be amazing. This equipment would help us learn about different kinds of exercise that require us to balance and maintain control of our bodies. They would be a great addition to the hula hoops and balls we already have in our gross motor area.

Moving our bodies is an important part of our day even when we are not learning about exercising, so these materials would be used all school year long.
