Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a Math/Science teacher at a Title I school in Tampa, where 99% of my students are on the free lunch program. However, they do not let this define them. My students love working with their hands and exploring new items. I would love to have new STEM items for morning activities and to go along with our Science standards.

I plan to use these blocks, poster, crats items, nuts and bolts and other resources to create STEM bins in my classroom that will encourage open-ended exploration of engineering concepts and make a huge difference in my students' learning.

Students can build various things using the included cards as guides or use their imaginations. These manipulatives will allow my students to create, invent, and become problem solvers all on their own or allow them to work collaboratively within small groups. They will then be able to explain their finished products to their classmates.
