This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a Title I school and funding is limited when it comes to printers and laminators. We have two main black and white printers/copiers in the school that is shared by the entire school making it difficult to print and make copies. Also, there is one laminator for the entire school that cannot be use by teachers when needed. Work has to be turn in and will be done once a week only. This makes saving and creating work as needed very difficult.

The printer will allow me to make necessary packets for learning when the the main two printers are unavailable or not functioning properly and will also allow me to print colorful activities for daily use in the classroom.

The laminator and film will allow me to maintain center/small group activities safe for longer periods, and will also ensure that the work we produce lasts and does not get bent, ripped, or torn. Laminating makes it possible for anchor charts and poster to last.

Furthermore, the flexible sitting will be use during small group rotations and give my students one more option to find a comfortable and relaxing space where they can learn and complete their work.

My hope is that my students have easy access to comfortable and relaxing sitting as well as access to materials they may need and that our class is filled with laminated, colorful anchor charts, posters, student's work, and center activities.
